My name is Daisy, and I’m a nutrition graduate and future dietitian interested in all things food and disease. I love animals, cooking, eating, people-watching and walking.
I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition from Oxford Brookes University in June 2014. I have since gained experience working within community-based geriatrics, followed by working in the dietetics department of an acute NHS trust as a dietetic assistant. I have a wide range of experience working within the paediatrics, renal, respiratory, transplant, infectious diseases and gastrointestinal departments. I am also interested in eating disorders and the relationship between mental health and nutrition.
I will begin studying for my MSc in Dietetics at Kings College London in September 2015.
I’ll be using this blog firstly as a place for me to write down and investigate things that I find interesting, as a way to network with other like-minded people, and lastly to provide information to like-minded readers who want to learn a little bit about food and nutrition.
